Blog - BIAIA Survivor Wallet Cards are Now Available!
You’ve been asking, and we are finally answering! The Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa now has brain injury survivor wallet cards available!
Sometimes, we may encounter a medical emergency where it can be important to communicate that we have had a brain injury. Sometimes, people may have a hard time understanding something we are trying to communicate due to our brain injury symptoms. And sometimes, people in our communities may misinterpret symptoms from a brain injury as questionable or, perhaps, problematic behavior.
In an effort to inform our community members, police offices, and other first responders, it may be helpful to keep one of these wallet cards on hand. Cards can be easily stored in your wallet or placed behind your drivers license for easy access.
If you would like a copy of this wallet card mailed to you, please contact your local support group leader at the next meeting. Otherwise, you can contact BIAIA directly at (855) 444-6443 or info@biaia.org for a copy of this card.
