Don’t Miss Hill Day and 2020 Legislative Priorities

The 2020 Legislative Session is upon us and we are actively working for better supports and services for Iowans with brain injury.  Join us at Hill Day 2020 on February 5, 2020 at the State Capitol.  This year the top priorities being asked for by BIAIA include “Line’s Law” – a helmet law for moped and motorcycle riders aged 17 and under, dedicated funding for Stroke Patient and Community Care in collaboration with the American Heart Association  and the Iowa Stroke Task Force, increased funding the IDPH’s Brain Injury Services program that funds BIAIA’s NRF program, an increase in funding for the Brain Injury Waiver Waiting List, and support of training and increased wages for Iowa’s Direct Support Professionals.  Read the  Legislative Priorities 2020  here.
