Genesis LIFT Program Hosts Unmasking Brain Injury Event

The Genesis LIFT program is an outpatient-based program for brain injury rehabilitation located at the Genesis Medical Center in Bettendorf, Iowa. The LIFT program is designed for adolescents and adults who have sustained a brain injury and are medically stable, yet would benefit from intensive rehabilitation services beyond what is provided in traditional outpatient programs.

Genesis LIFT recently hosted an Unmasking Brain Injury mask-making event this past week at their local facility. The mission of Unmasking Brain Injury is to promote awareness of the prevalence of brain injury and to give survivors a voice to share with others what it is like to live with a brain injury. Behind every mask that is created is a story of a person that has been touched by brain injury. These masks will be added to the traveling display that is currently making its way across the state of Iowa.
